About Charity Long
Charity Long has been a hair stylist for 18 years, having been licensed since 2001. She received advanced hair color and highlights training from Mario Tricoci Salon and Day Spa in Leawood, KS. Charity worked there for 5 years specializing in the color department and training apprentices there, as well. She received company wide recognition for first place in a photo contest in which she was the artist responsible for the model's hair color. She then went on to study under former Vidal Sassoon educator Mitsu Sato in Prairie Village, KS, focusing on cutting and style. Charity obtained her cosmetology instructor's license in 2006 and taught cosmetology at Mitsu Sato Academy in Overland Park, KS for two years. In 2007, she became an artistic educator for the haircare and color company Pravana, and began teaching advanced color theory and techniques classes and seminars for stylists. She worked as an educator for Pravana until 2013. She is currently enjoying her time behind the chair, specializing in color, highlights, and cuts at Hair by Charity, located inside Solera Salon in Overland Park, KS. Charity's work has been featured on the cover of Her Life magazine and in the pages of 435 South.
